Master the LSAT with proven strategies from a 99th percentile (176) scorer.
👋 Hi! My name is Edwin and I’m from a Pacific island called *Saipan.* I scored a 176 through self-studying, and I’ve been teaching this test for about a year now. My motto? “Don’t make this test more confusing than it already is!”
I emphasize an intuitive, “simplicity-first” approach to solving questions throughout our sessions. On that note, our sessions might start with discussing some LSAT concepts, but will mostly be “hands-on,” finding our weak spots in action by looking at official LSAT questions regularly, in order to build the right habits for test day.
👨‍🏫What You'll Learn
- Logical Reasoning: Decode argument structures, identify gaps in reasoning, and master all the question types. **NO “**tricks” or gimmicks utilized—they’re completely unnecessary. I emphasize simplicity and intuitive thinking.
- Reading Comprehension: RC without accommodations is extremely hard to nail down. I’ll show you some things that helped me such as improving my ability to speed-read, learning to analyze complex passages efficiently through familiarity with passage types and patterns, and building off of our LR fundamentals to manage the RC section.
- Test-Taking Strategies: Learn time management, question prioritization, and mental preparation techniques from somebody who just went through that exact process and came out on top.
- Study Path Guidance: I tailor my advice based on individual needs and differences regarding what specific areas to focus your independent study time on, and what practice and drilling format would be most beneficial. Optional homework provided for free, and I’m happy to yap anytime with my students about the LSAT!
🤷‍♂️ So… why work with me?
-
Experienced
I’ve been teaching this test for nearly a year now and have worked with major companies such as 7sage. Throughout my time, I’ve helped students tackle a wide variety of problems, whether it’s a 160 student’s timing or a 140 student’s accuracy. I know what it takes to improve your LSAT score.
-
But not too experienced
I received a 172 on April 2025, and a 176 on October 2025. These are very recent scores, so you’ll be working with someone who experienced and scored high on the *latest* version of the test, which includes changes such as the removal of Logic Games, and an emphasis on conditional logic. Importantly, I still feel enthusiastic and passionate about teaching this test, and aim to rub that off on you!
-
Flexible
I prioritize matching my student’s needs. Whether it’s scheduling our class time or building a new personal strategy to question types, I always aim to be flexible enough to help you reach your goals. Classes usually extend past scheduled time at no extra cost, as long as you’re not busy. I genuinely care about you learning what’s necessary, it helps us both in the long run.
🎯 Areas of focus
- Visualizing argument structures
This also means we can identify any given argument’s main point, not just for main conclusion question types! How is the author trying to support his point? What could be the problem with that? These are questions we will habituate so you don’t ever feel lost on questions.
- Answer choice analysis (Wrong AC “nitpick” + Process of Elimination)
There’s a Billy Joel song that goes “Though you can see when you’re wrong, you know you can’t always see when you’re right.” I find this especially true on the LSAT. In other words: I find that the wrong answers are often easier to prove wrong than the right answers are to prove right beyond a doubt. This is the closest thing to a “hack” and we will utilize this heavily!
- Identifying and recognizing re-occuring patterns of (erroneous) arguments AND trap answer choices.
Along with tailored strategies for specific question/passage types, we will focus on recognizing the patterns of reasoning that we continuously bump into with the goal of establishing an early idea of which ones are our weakness. Furthermore, we will gain familiarity with how the testmakers create tempting wrong answer choices.
đź’µ Session price/cancellation/packaging
Each session lasts about 1.5 hours, and costs $60.
Classes usually go over 1.5 hours (as long as you’re available), but you will never be billed more than $60 for the session.
Learn first, pay later. You don’t need to “pre-purchase” your session. I’ll remind you at the end of class to make your payment.
- I also offer free cancellations for emergencies. Life happens. Please don’t abuse this policy!
