The name is Kang Seulgi, born on 10th February 1994 at Ansan, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. She define herself as a bear person and love the color Yellow as her spirit anima. She had the magic hands who're able to play the Guitar and she can speak Japanese. After graduated from Seoul School of Performing Arts, she joined SM Entertaiment as Trainee on 2007 casted trough public audition. Known by her calm personality, she also love to draw in her spare time. Before her Debut with Red Velvet on 1st August 2014, she was mentioned by her Sunbaenim, Kyuhyun from Super Junior which made her gained some attention. She love to collect stickers and eating vegetables. A little TMI about her, she love to coordinate her clothings by color and her role model were Beyonce. On 2020, SM Entertaiment announced Red Velvet's first sub unit named ‘ASeul’ with members Irene and Seulgi, with a debut song titled ‘Monster’. Then, on September 13, 2022, it was announced that Seulgi would debut as a soloist with the release of her first EP, titled ‘28 Reasons’, on October 4, led the single of the same, followed by Seulgi comeback with a second mini album titled ‘Baby Not Baby’.
