“There is an Indian proverb that says that everyone is a house with four rooms, a physical, a mental, an emotional, and a spiritual . Most of us tend to live in one room most of the time but unless we go into every room every day, even if only to keep it aired, we are not a complete person.”
We are all drawn to one dimension of existence, whether it is a love of learning, an enthusiasm for exercise, a sense of drama, or spiritual enquiry. However, to fully savour life we must learn to balance all four dimensions of our existence. Even though our nature makes it inherently difficult not to favour one room, or to avoid another.
The name of this space is The Fourth Room, for the spiritual room, of course!
