Chapter 1

  1. Small, Smart Choices + Consistency + Time = RADICAL DIFFERENCE

  2. Magic Penny → Picking $3million vs $1 that doubles every day for 30 days

  3. Nothing fails like success → You have to continue doing after you become successful as well to avoid going back to failure. Complacency is a big devil.

  4. Only path to success is through a continuum of mundane, unsexy, unexciting, and sometimes difficult daily disciplines compounded over time

Chapter 2 - Choices

  1. We are not intentionally making bad choices. We are sleepwalking through our choices i.e making most of them unconsciously
  2. Preparation (personal growth) + Attitude (belief/mindset) + Opportunity (a good thing coming your way) + Action (doing something about it) = Luck
  3. What’s simple to do is also simple not to do → Why doing simple things are difficult
  4. It's not the big things that add up, it’s the hundreds, thousands, or millions of little things that separate the ordinary from the extraordinary

Chapter 3 - Habits

Small habits over long duration makes huge difference

Small habits over long duration makes huge difference

  1. Start with "Why" — A powerful why can bring a great habit

  2. All of the hows will be meaningless until your whys are powerful enough.

  3. You need to have a motivation. That's it. It can be +ve emotioned motivation or -ve one i.e to prove to others that they were wrong. It's ok to have -ve emotioned motivation (as long as it's moral). Harnessing the -ve emotions is more important

Power of Why. In A, we crossed so we get easy $20. In B, our loved one is on other side of building, that's a strong Why, not the $20

  4. YOU → CHOICE (decision) + BEHAVIOR (action) + HABIT (repeated action) + COMPOUNDED (time) = GOALS

  5. Brain grooves → Habits when repeated forms neurological circuits known as brain grooves

Chapter 4 — Momentum

As soon as you break the rhythm, you have to start it over from a big ZERO again
