This is a public log of things discussed on community meetings.

Wednesday 29th of April. - First Creation Sesh.

What things do you imagine will happen during Mirai PopUp City?

[Tuk] proposed to sync up to speed with the existing Japanese framework. Inviting people from the PMDA (FDA equivalent), and private sector consultants willing to transfer knowledge. We need to understand how the infrastructure works. Additionally he wants connection with local universities even organizing a day on-campus in Kobe university.

[Cory] proposed we should get people from the existing biotech industry and public sector in the room and we get established companies from friends to pitch to them. He also wants to brainstorm to understand what things we can pursue that can be of interest to the public sector.

[Tere] is building her own popup city node in Tulum, working towards making it a permanent location. She wants to see how we can connect both nodes. She also would like to see the clear benefits of becoming a citizen of Mirai.

[Oliver] proposed there to be hackathons and brainstorming sessions during the popup. We should identify some interesting biotech problems and put bounties up for people to solve them during the hackathon.

[Andrew] proposed that we connect to Tech Tokyo, a group started by Harvard University.

[Byron] proposed to invite the PM to deliver a keynote speech at the event. He’s also curious to see if we can run non-restrictive frontier AI models in Kobe for research purposes. He also proposed to do research on what attendants of other bio popup cities liked and disliked. We also need to be clear about incentives when it comes to volunteers and contributors. He said that the residency can be location hybrid.

[Josh] proposed a way to inform people on the Go-to-Market process, how it differs from the FDA, how does the path looks like, both from a time and cost perspective.

On who gets into the popup city.

We decided to make it an invite based community. For the popup itself everyone will have 2 invitations. For the group-chats, anyone can feel free to invite anyone!
