Thanks for purchasing Brut WordPress theme!
The instructions below will make using Brut simple and quick for you.

Installation

• Login into your WordPress dashboard (If you are not familiar with installing the CMS, use this guide: http://www.wpbeginner.com/how-to-install-wordpress. We recommend using cPanel + Softaculous).

• Move to "Appearance" -> "Themes".

• Click "Add New":

• Then "Upload", then "Choose File":

• Now choose the downloaded 330KB ZIP (if the downloaded archive is bigger than 330KB, please unpack it and find the 330KB ZIP archive inside) with the Brut theme and click "Install Now".

• Activate your theme:

• Brut will ask to install the ACF plugin. ACF plugin is required to enable theme customisation. Please click the "Begin installing plugin" link:

• Click "Install":

• After the process completed click "Return to Required Plugins Installer".

• Click "Activate":

• Good job! Brut is completely installed. Now you need to activate the default settings. Go to "Posts" -> "All Posts".

• You will see a pre-created "Site Settings" post. It's the automatically made post for site settings changing. It's never displayed on your site so no one will see it. (Please do NOT change the "Site Settings" post). Now let's click it:

• Now click "Update":

• The default settings are now activated. The Brut installation is 100% completed ✨

Configuration

All the visual configuration and text editing are performed within the "Site Settings" post. It's the automatically made post for site settings changing. It's never displayed on your site so no one will see it. (Please do NOT change the "Site Settings" post).
