Example planning applications can be submitted in the staging or your local development environment through the API. While these applications are entirely fictional and provide only a limited featureset, they are useful tools for planning teams to experience how the BOPS workflow happens, especially if they are in the process of getting set up with PlanX.

Do this through the provided Swagger documentation at {{environment}}/api/docs/index.html.

For the staging environment, you will need an API key. Contact the BOPS team to talk to us about this. On your local environment, the API key defaults to ‘123’ unless you set it to something different when you seeded your database.

To submit an example planning application:

• click Authorize and fill in the API key
• POST /api/v1/planning_applications > Try it out > Choose 'Full' example > Click Execute.
