➡️ It’s not a psychometric

If we had £1 for every time someone asked us if the assessment is like MBTI or DISC…

Psychometric tests tend to be founded in psychology and can consist of personality, skills or aptitude type tests.

The assessment we use is founded in philosophy and more specifically in Axiology, which is the philosophical study of value. There’s more about Axiology below.

There are also some other key differences between this assessment and typical psychometric assessments:

The simplicity and abstract nature of this assessment is what makes it so different and effective. People often comment that they’ve never taken anything like it, and so it can be refreshing for them to know they’re not answering 100 similar questions.

➡️ Axiology - In brief

Axiology comes from a Greek word meaning “value or worth,” and is primarily concerned with classifying things as good and how good they are. In simple terms, it’s about what and how you value the world around you and how you value yourself.

We plan to add more about Axiology, including how it can help to build positive culture in organisations soon! In the meantime you can read about Dr Robert S. Hartman, the creator of the assessment here.
