Went on a run this morning and went down a rabbit hole of thoughts. One of my conclusions: despite the pain, love is what makes life worth living.
These are the 3 most important things in life:
Why God?
You’re blessed to be a part of this world, with the opportunity to live. You’re blessed to experience everything on this Earth that you were brought here for, and you should thank God for the experiences you get to have, the people you get to be with, and the work you get to do. God’s love for you is unconditional — unlike other types of love, which can fade, change, or be lost. To me, unconditional love means that in times of pain, you always have someone who loves you.

When I speak about God, I don’t mean you need to follow any particular religion — I’m talking about recognizing a higher power that brought you to where you are today.

Why work?
You’re blessed by God to be a part of this world. Work is what you offer back - to God and to the people around you - for the blessing of life. It should have meaning and give value. Gravitate toward roles that benefit others, not just the ones that make you money (not to say you can’t do both). Find work you love - the kind where you come home feeling accomplished, where Monday morning excites you instead of draining you.
Why family & friends?
Relationships are what make life so damn good. The love you share with a significant other, family, and friends - those moments are worth the chase. I love my family deeply, and I’ve been in love before — those are some of the best experiences I’ve had.
Why not focus on just one?
Because you need balance - over-dependence on any one will bring pain.
