WRITER’S NOTE:
These short stories are written in unison between Tashi (@khian.bsky.social) & I. The style of writing is RP and sectioned as such. Cayto is written by Tashi, and Lohkri is written by me, Cillian.
After dwelling in Lohkri's little Ul'dahn apartment for about a month or two after the events of the king's cave, Cayto was beginning to miss his home. Sharlayan. The thought of asking Lohkri to make the difficult trip to join him on that voyage and come live with him for a bit in the scholarly city weighed heavy on him, but it had also been weighing heavy on the viper.
This story entails the two journeying to Sharlayan with their newfound and budding relationship, which only puts the mage and viper through many more trials and tribulations to test their love for one another.

It was one of those days again where Cayto found himself standing at the window next to the bed, peeking through the blinds down at the dusty, stony street of Ul’dah. The buildings of rough sandstone from the other side of the street glowed brightly in the afternoon light while a barely visible haze of dust and heat flickered right above the cobblestones, sliced by the hurrying feet of merchants, citizens, running children.
Cayto didn’t mind the busy and loud life of a city. Usually. But the more often he stood right here and let his mind wander, he realized that he felt a strange type of loneliness. He wasn’t alone, by Thaliak, he was definitely the opposite since he moved into Lohkri’s apartment and began to share his life with the Seeker.
But he missed Sharlayan. He missed the sight of the trees, bushes and flowers around his apartment instead of Ul’dah’s dry streets. He missed the comfort of his own kitchen and reading nook upstairs. This longing for his home had always hit him sooner or later on all his former travels. He greeted this feeling like an old friend and gave a silent sigh. All his leads of finding out something about this old magic still resting in his palms had run dry. No more old scrolls to read, no more people to ask. Thanalan had nothing to offer him anymore.
