A quick overview of the conversations below, along with the documents in question.

The textiles exhibit

Nina is taking on the coordination role for the project, bridging to the new media and the exhibitions teams. The first job is to bring together ideas for the content of the exhibit. There are questions about how the process of the research is being forefronted. Nina is going to arrange a meeting for a deeper discussion between those who want to be involved.

Potential HE investigation

Wayne gave an overview of a potential Historic England investigation he had been considering. It would involve trying to bring historic environment records into dialogue with other archival material to see what could be found out about some under-documented textile mills. There is scope for energy to be a focus in this work and for it to link the textiles and energy strands. Idea to be pursued.

Process for new investigations

Arran and Tim gave an overview of some of the meetings and events that have happened since the Manchester workshop on 20/21 October which have led to efforts to re-articulate and further surface to digital aspects of our investigations. We are proposing a process that would allow people with potential investigations to complete a template and gather insights from the digital panel on the potential tools and techniques that could be used. The proposed process looks like:

We would like to suggest that those who have a potential investigation coming out of the last couple of weeks start the process of filling in the template. You do not need to wait until the next meeting to discuss and/or submit a template.

In next week's textiles strand we will have to opportunity to discuss whether the process needs any tweaks or the template needs to be changed in any way. All thoughts and comments welcome.
