Welcome to Jello Chat ("Jello," "we," "us"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Jello Chat mobile app and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating a session or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

  1. Eligibility You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using Jello, you represent that you are 18 or older. You must be legally able to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction. The Service is not directed to children. If we learn a user is under 18, we will terminate their session.
  2. Anonymous Sessions Jello does not require an email, phone number, or real name. We create an anonymous session tied to a device identifier so you can use the Service. You are responsible for any activity on your session. Do not share your device or session with anyone you do not want acting on your behalf. We may expire, refresh, or terminate sessions at any time.
  3. The Service Jello lets you:

Chat anonymously with randomly matched strangers via text and, where available, video. Add other users as friends and maintain a friends list. Customize an anonymous profile (display name, avatar, interests, bio, etc.). Purchase a VIP subscription for additional features. Features may change, be added, or be removed at any time.

  1. Your Conduct You agree not to use the Service to:

Harass, threaten, stalk, bully, or intimidate any other user. Send, display, or solicit sexually explicit content, nudity, or sexual content involving minors (we report CSAM to NCMEC and law enforcement). Share hate speech, content that incites violence, or content targeting people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar characteristics. Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation. Share personal information of others (doxing), or your own beyond what you're comfortable being seen by strangers. Promote self-harm, suicide, or dangerous activities. Send spam, scams, phishing links, malware, or advertisements. Use bots, scrapers, automation, or reverse-engineer the Service. Circumvent bans, rate limits, or moderation tools (including creating new sessions to evade a ban). Violate any applicable law. We reserve the right to review reports, remove content, suspend sessions, ban devices, and cooperate with law enforcement at our discretion.

  1. User Content You retain ownership of messages and content you send ("User Content"). You grant Jello a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, transmit, display, and process your User Content solely to operate and improve the Service. You are solely responsible for your User Content. Do not send anything you do not have the right to share. Messages between strangers may be ephemeral; we do not guarantee message storage, backup, or delivery.
  2. Reporting & Safety You can report or block other users at any time. We may, but are not obligated to, review reports and take action including warnings, session termination, or device bans. We do not pre-screen content. Interactions with strangers carry real risk. Do not share personal information, financial details, or meet anyone offline.
  3. VIP Subscriptions VIP subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Billing, renewals, and cancellations are handled by the respective store under their terms. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Prices, durations, and VIP features may change. Current plans are shown in the app at the time of purchase. Refunds are governed by the applicable store's refund policy. We do not issue direct refunds. If your VIP entitlement expires or is refunded, premium features (such as gender preference filtering, higher friend limits, priority matching, unlimited skips, and VIP badge) will be revoked.
  4. Intellectual Property The Service, including its software, design, logos, and trademarks, is owned by Jello or its licensors. Except for the rights expressly granted here, no license is granted to you. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service.
  5. Third-Party Services Jello uses third-party services, including:

RevenueCat for subscription management. Agora for voice/video calls (where applicable). PostHog for analytics and session replay. Sentry for error reporting. Apple / Google for app distribution and payments. Your use of those features is also subject to the third party's terms and privacy policies.

  1. Privacy Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what limited data we collect (such as device identifiers, session data, and analytics) and how we use it.
  2. Termination You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting your session from the Profile screen or uninstalling the app. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (IP, disclaimers, liability limits, dispute resolution) will survive.
  3. Disclaimers The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee the identity, age, conduct, or intentions of other users. You interact with strangers at your own risk. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
  4. Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Jello will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Jello in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD $50. 14. Indemnification You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jello, its affiliates, and their officers, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms or any law.

  1. Changes to the Terms We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
