Terms of Use for Timeline Maker - Clarus

Last updated: March 22, 2026

Welcome to Timeline Maker - Clarus ("Clarus," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Timeline Maker - Clarus mobile application and related features.

By downloading, accessing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What the App Does

Timeline Maker - Clarus is a mobile-first timeline creation app that helps users create, edit, and export visual timelines using event dates, titles, descriptions, templates, and optional images.

The app is designed as a local-first product. It does not currently provide account registration or a cloud sync service operated by us.

2. Eligibility

You may use the app only if you are legally allowed to do so under applicable law. If you are using the app on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non- transferable, revocable license to use the app for your personal, educational, or internal business use.

The app is licensed, not sold. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the app except as permitted by applicable law.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you create in the app, including timeline titles, event text, and images you import.

You are responsible for your content and for making sure you have the necessary rights to use, upload, import, export, and share it. You must not use the app to create, store, or distribute content that is unlawful, infringing, abusive, deceptive, or otherwise harmful.

You grant us only the limited rights necessary to operate the app for you, including storing, rendering, exporting, and processing your content locally on your device as part of the app’s functionality.

5. Local Storage and Device Responsibility

Your timeline content is primarily stored locally on your device. Imported images may be copied into app-managed local storage so the app can continue to display them properly.

Because the app is local-first, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important content. Deleting a timeline, deleting the app, reinstalling the app, or device-related issues may result in loss of locally stored data. Exported files or device backups may be handled separately by your device or platform.

6. Paid Features, Subscriptions, and Billing
