Terms of Use (EULA) for InsideSoul
1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using InsideSoul: Journal & Diary (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. This App is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, and your use is also subject to the respective store’s terms of service:
2. Serverless & Local-First Architecture
InsideSoul is designed as a serverless, local-first application to ensure maximum user privacy.
- Local Storage: All journal entries, photos, and emotional data are stored directly on your physical device. The developer does not have a central server and cannot access, read, or share your private content.
- No Account Required: Since there is no central database, the App does not require a user account for its core functionality.
3. Data Ownership and Responsibility
- User Ownership: You retain full ownership of all data you input into the App.
- Risk of Data Loss: Because we do not store your data on our servers, the developer is not responsible for any data loss caused by app deletion, device damage, loss of device, or OS-related issues.
- Backups: We provide an optional backup feature via Google Drive. You are responsible for maintaining your Google account and ensuring your backups are up to date.
4. Subscriptions and Payments (Pro Features)
InsideSoul offers premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions ("Pro").
- Billing: All transactions are processed and managed by the respective app store (Apple or Google). Payments will be charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase.
- Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Cancellation: You can manage and cancel your subscriptions through your App Store or Google Play account settings at any time.
- Refunds: All refund requests must be handled through the respective app store's support channels. The developer has no authority to issue refunds directly.
