Overview
TempoPunk is a speed-focused 3D first-person platformer developed by a friend and me, connecting the dynamic movement mechanics with the music playing during each level. Players perform tricks and combos to find their own unique way through the level, gaining new movement mechanics with each one.
My Roles
- Programmer
- Implemented player controller and movement mechanics such as wallrunning, gliding, and sliding
- Iterated through several designs, keybinds, and values to make sure that the movement felt perfect, especially since it was the core of the game
- Designer
- Created the level blockouts, ensuring that each segment uniquely tested the player’s skills and mastery over the mechanics
- Decorated the beautiful corner for the vertical slice, which will be replicated to be consistent throughout the entire level
