Naming convention
- Files should follow this naming convention: "20_NWST_IGHacks_0903_001.prpoj" - ("Year_AccountInitials_Descriptive Title_MMDD(if any)Version Number.extension")
- Any output files, should carry the same name "20_XXXX_IGHacks_0903_001.mp4" so you know exactly where that exported file came from, in case you ever have to go back and change something.
- Now you can identify the project, what the file is, what version number, and who worked on it last.
- The most important thing here is to keep the version numbers. Save often, and version up every time you make a major change in your work. That way you can back track easily if you hate your work, or if your machine crashes.
- You'll have a nice healthy backlog of files
- NEVER EVER EVER EVER use "Final" or "New" in any file you create. It's a cardinal sin.
- Name all of your layers. Never leave anything untitled, or by their default name.
