Challenge

The Tech Road Community Church asked me to design a logo that would be used on all of the church’s visual media. The logo had to be based on the church’s mission and vision while also making the church feel approachable.

Goal

The goals of this project were:

Bring out the mission and vision of the church in the design.
Match the branding to the visual design of its sister church – Beltsville Adventist Church.
Create a logo that inspires excitement about connecting with the members of the church.

Role

I was the visual designer for the Beltsville Adventist Church and the logo designer for Tech Road Community Church.

01 Research & Empathize

Company Research

For this project, I used Tech Road Community Church’s mission and vision statements as my north star. This helped me to understand the image that they have built for themselves and how they see themselves growing in the future.

Mission Statement

By trusting God, searching daily for his presence and trusting Him through the journey. By laser focusing on lead measures that will contribute to reaching this wildly important goal.

Vision Statement

A community where you can come as you are, stay because you’re loved, serve like Jesus & experience real change.
