When the instance is running from sometimes, and you are pretty sure it does not need to update any more settings (like name, currency or domain name), Sysadmin can take over the instance and stop the synxronisation Voca-Decidim.

This have some advantages and inconvenient:

Advantages

• The RPC node that make the syncronization voca-decidim can be put in sleep mode, going from 4 used Cloudets to 1.
• You shutdown the gRPC APi, lowering the surface of attack.

Inconvenient

• Voca users won’t be able to edit themselves the Decidim instance, and will need to go through support to release Sysadmin Mode.

Turn on Sysadmin Mode

You will need to do two things to activate the sysadmin mode:

1. Put the RPC layer to sleep altering the PM2_RUN environment variable
2. Add a notification from the strapi CMS to indicate the final user a Sysadmin from voca has take over.

Put the RPC node to sleep

Go on the environment settings of the RPC container you want to put to sleep. Go on the Environments tab. Select PM2_RUNennvironment variable, and set it to snooze Restart the container

Go to your Voca backend administration (CMS).
