Our culture of “growth from within” guides our actions and makes every employee a mentor at some point. New team members quickly learn that help is just a question away. Passing on knowledge and helping each other to grow is how we do more for each other at IBC.
Community involvement is not optional at IBC. When a new employee is hired, they automatically become a member of our Employee Advisory Board (EAB) which directs the community initiatives in which we are involved. We participate in activities like the Relay for Life and teaching personal finance in schools through Junior Achievers.
Our Brighter Christmas Fund gets us directly involved with people in our communities who need a little help making the holidays more enjoyable for their families. It’s such a great way for our family to give to others and experience the joy service during times that can be very stressful for people in need.
We don’t just expect our people to do more, we reward them for it. Recognition is a huge part of our culture, and it keeps our team motivated to find ways to increase our level of service and customer satisfaction. Any team member can reward another employee with a “gotcha doing more card” when they see them going above and beyond.
We host an annual end-of-year bonus party to celebrate each other's accomplishments. The CEO, Mr. Nixon, personally attends and expresses gratitude and appreciation to the employees for their hard work and dedication.
