Every civilization that has ever fallen developed, in its final stages, a sophisticated vocabulary for avoiding the truth of what it was becoming. Words were not abandoned — they were inverted. Weakness was renamed sensitivity. Cowardice became caution. Dependence became community. The inability to endure became a diagnosis requiring accommodation.
Language is not merely how a civilization speaks. It is how it thinks. When the words for failure are systematically replaced by words for condition, the civilization loses its ability to locate the problem. You cannot treat a wound you have renamed a feature.
This is how collapse is made invisible until it is irreversible.
