Background

I’m Abjayan, a 14-year-old photographer living in the IIT Madras campus.

I started out shooting digital photos, mostly around Chennai, but I got drawn to film because it felt slower, more intentional, and more permanent.

I now shoot portraits on 35mm film using a Pentax KM from the 1970s. Each shoot is done on a single roll — usually Kodak cinefilm — and I hand-pick the best frames to deliver.
