This Privacy Policy describes how SwissAligner ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the SwissAligner mobile application ("the App").
The App connects patients, dental practices, and the SwissAligner lab for orthodontic aligner treatment communication. We process data only to provide and improve this service. We do not sell your personal information.

The App is intended for users involved in an active SwissAligner treatment case (patients, dentists, and authorized lab staff). Use of the App requires an account provided or created in connection with your treatment.
We collect only the information needed to operate the App and your treatment chat.
When you sign in or register, we may collect: • Username and email address • Password (stored securely on our servers; never stored in plain text) • Name, title, date of birth, gender (optional), phone, address, and professional details where applicable • Profile photo (optional) • Case reference / case number linked to your treatment
When you use the App, we process content you choose to send, including: • Text messages in treatment chats • Photos and videos (e.g. teeth, aligners, treatment progress) • Voice messages and other audio attachments • Documents and files you attach to a case or chat
This content is stored on our secure servers so it can be delivered to your dental practice and, where relevant, the SwissAligner lab.
To keep you signed in, deliver notifications, and maintain security, we may collect: • A device identifier generated by the App (not your phone's advertising ID) • Device platform (iOS or Android), app version, and language preference • Push notification token (FCM/APNs) when you allow notifications • Authentication tokens stored locally on your device so you remain logged in
We do not use cross-app tracking or advertising identifiers.
