Getting Started

How do I enable sounds on my store?

1. Install the app from the Shopify App Store
2. Open the app and go to Sound Settings to configure which interactions play sounds and choose your presets
3. Go to your Theme Editor (Online Store > Themes > Customize)
4. In the left sidebar, scroll to App embeds and toggle Sensory UX Booster on
5. Save and visit your storefront — sounds are now active

I installed the app but I don't hear any sounds

Check the following:

• App embed is enabled: Go to Theme Editor > App embeds and make sure Sensory UX Booster is toggled on
• Sounds are configured: In the app admin, verify that at least one interaction has a sound preset selected and is enabled
• Volume is not zero: Check that the global volume is above 0%
• Browser allows audio: Modern browsers require a user interaction (click, tap) before playing audio. The first sound will play on the first click after page load
• prefers-reduced-motion: If your browser or OS is set to "reduce motion", sounds are automatically disabled out of respect for accessibility preferences

Do sounds work on mobile?

Yes. You can enable or disable mobile sounds independently in the app settings. Note that some mobile browsers have stricter audio policies — sounds will play after the user's first tap on the page.
