Smartex.ai is a fast-growing company based in Porto, with operations in Shenzhen, Porto, Milan, Istanbul, and others. We are leading the way in reducing waste in textile production, using cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence technology, Machine Learning, and Computer Vision.

Our products were developed together with Lenzing Fibres with pilots supported by the Kering group (Gucci and Balenciaga branches) and PVH (Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger) and many other outstanding partners.
Why do we exist?
Our Vision is to rapidly create advanced & Impactful technologies for archaic industries such as the Textile Industry. Create impact by changing and Improve the World, solving real, measurable, and massive problems to help Humanity.
Nowadays, the Textile Industry wastes Billions of dollars per year in defective production and the leading solution to minimize defective production is having human inspection 24/7 to detect production faults. There has to be a better way!

What do we do?
Our mission is to bring advanced technology to the Textile Industry in order to become transparent, traceable, sustainable, and better serve Humanity!
We build our own Hardware and Software to integrate vision systems inside textile production machines that can automatically inspect, act, alert, and save resources and time.
We build digital platforms for full traceability and remote control of production metrics & to provide insights to factory managers, workers, and even the final consumers.
We are looking for an accountable, passionate & energetic person with hands-on mindset to join our Hardware / Electronics departments.
The activities will be performed in Porto and evolving operations all over the World, leading with a diverse group of people for a plethora of new topics every day.
The electronics supply-chain is currently under high stress at a global level due to a number of unforeseeable situations that happened all over the world in the past year. Because of this, it became nearly impossible to source certain electronic components.
