There is no studying exclusively for speaking.  Language does not develop by focusing on a single aspect. To be able to speak, you need to listen, read, and write extensively. Practice helps improve pronunciation, content, and expressions.

The main purpose of speaking study is to cultivate the ability to express one's thoughts clearly, even in brief form. For this, it is essential to take the time to organize one's thoughts in writing. The reason why most speaking assessments are conducted in the form of presenting one's written work lies precisely here. Therefore, it is more important to study by connecting various areas rather than dividing them.

"You can only imitate what you have heard, but it is nearly impossible to pronounce words or sentences that you can’t hear."

Writing + Speaking: If you are a child writing in English, it is recommended to have a time to present it in front of your family or play games such as making word cards and speaking the words from Korean to English or answering English question cards.

Listening + Writing + Speaking:  It is recommended to write down and memorize memorable phrases from listening materials, listen to audio versions of fairy tales, write summaries, and present them.

Reading + Speaking:  If you are a child reading an interesting story, you can become a storyteller and share the content with your family, or record it on a personal blog (private) or YouTube like a story and leave a record.

"Don't make pattern conversations purely for memorization."

TIP: Occasionally, elementary school mothers neglect word memorization. Careless thoughts such as "They're still young, they can memorize in middle or high school," "If I show it to them frequently, they'll naturally memorize," or "I find it too difficult to force them because they dislike it..." only slow down the child's English proficiency. Vocabulary is a challenging area to conquer, but once you reach a certain level, you gain tremendous superpowers. Therefore, vocabulary memorization should be carried out both before and after learning.

Vocabulary learning method: Before learning: Memorize unknown words in the text and understand the text. After learning: Check and memorize all unknown words, remembered words. However, if the child lacks interest and habit in learning, vocabulary learning may cause significant stress. Thus, you should start slowly and gently observe the child's reactions, beginning with a very small number of words, one or two.
