This curriculum highlights the most important behavioral questions and concepts to focus on for investment banking interviews. While technicals prove you can do the job, behaviorals often decide whether you’ll get the offer — they show your motivation, your story, and your fit with the team.
Over the next five weeks, you will cover the following concepts. Each week you’ll prepare bullet-point answers in advance (not over-rehearsed), then practice them with your mentor in a mock interview.
| Week | Topics Covered | Key Focus |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | Pre-work | Jot down answers for all behavioral questions before Week 1 |
| 1 | Intro & IB Questions | Resume walk-through, “Why IB?”, motivation and role understanding |
| 2 | Situational Questions | Problem-solving, time crunch, failure, leadership |
| 3 | Strengths/Weaknesses/Personality | Strengths, weaknesses, feedback, off-resume insights |
| 4 | Firm-Specific Questions | “Why this firm/group?”, deal prep, networking tie-ins |
| 5 | Final Behavioral Mock | Full 30–45 min mock interview simulation |
This program follows a 1-1 mentorship structure. Students prepare bullet answers before each session, and sessions mix review, mock questions, and feedback. Expect ~3 hours of prep each week.
