My name is Stuart Regan. I am a design leader and jargon eraser, with a passion for clean interface and a humanised user experience, working with global agencies to small studios, and six-person startups to companies with 1,500+ people.
I started when I was 10 years old, designing album artwork in Microsoft Paint before gaining an interest in digital design from my parents dial-up Dell PC. I earned a Diploma in Digital Applications at 16, and soon after joined Isobar as a Junior Freelance Designer in 2011 – worked for many great startups and companies until 2014 – then joined the small startup, Elevaate, as Head of Design in 2015. After a year, I moved back to agencies and freelanced for Puzzle London, before moving in to a full-time role as a Senior Designer up until the end of 2018. In January 2019, I came full circle and started at Monzo as a Product Designer, working on adding external credit cards to the app, before leading the redesign of the app from mid-Q2 to the end of Q3. After 9 months, I left Monzo to join a smaller startup called Cuvva as Senior Product Designer – an InsurTech app – to work closely with the Head of Experience to grow the team and product.
I now design at Raycast – a tool to improve your productivity and speed up your process.
In my spare time, I help coach youth football as an avid football fan. I am interested in traveling, new tech, sports, cooking, side-projects, collecting plants, and enjoy going for long walks in the countryside.

Prototyping designs, conceptualising multiple solutions to problems causing user friction – especially impacting Customer Support – building and shipping fast ideas, learning from user testing and analysing data to come up with new alternatives at Cuvva, the mobile app that is changing insurance. Primarily working within the short-term motor insurance team, reducing customer support inbound, building new, engaging features, and maintaining the biggest product. Working closely with the Principal Designer to grow the design team, set processes in place and documentation for future growth, running creative workshops, and designing a humanised, simplistic, and expandable interface and design system for iOS and Android for both standard UI and dark mode.

Leading the design for implementing third-party credit cards integrated directly in to the Monzo app, before moving in to the Lead Product Designer role in my team for the redesign of the home screen for 3,500,000+ customers, starting with small communication improvements, then the full redesign, using quantitive and qualitative data to influence decisions, conducting user research and interviews, working closely with Product Managers during ideation sessions, Engineers early on to warm up and kick off early ideas, and other Designers to get feedback at different stages of the projects.
