The capacity-building workshop will be held virtually on March 29-31, 2021 as part of the second component of the ILO [project](https://www.ilo.org/global/topics/cooperatives/projects/WCMS_714983/lang--en/index.htm#:~:text=The project aims to enhance,develop%2Fstrengthen their SSE policy.&text=This understanding ultimately results in,national context in the region.) on Strengthening Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) Policy in Asia. The main objective of the workshop is to deepen the understanding of opportunities and challenges facing SSE actors, and to strengthen the capacity of the participants in developing and/or strengthening the SSE policies and programmes.

The workshop will gather representatives of employers, workers, governments, practitioners and leaders in the SSE movement and researchers from the six countries (China, Republic of Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines) to learn about strategies and tools for promoting the transition from the informal to the formal economy, decent work in the rural economy, and SSE organisations’ responses to the COVID-19 crisis and their role in the post-pandemic recovery.
