Understand the Exam Pattern
- CUET UG 2026 is conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
- The exam contains Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) only.
- Divided into Language Tests (Section 1A & 1B), Domain Subjects (Section 2), General Test (Section 3).
- Candidates may choose up to 5 subjects based on university requirements.
- Each test paper includes 50 compulsory MCQs.
- Duration: 60 minutes per paper.
- Marking Scheme: +5 for correct answers, −1 for incorrect.
- Tip: Review the official syllabus carefully—NCERT Class 12 forms the core of Domain Subjects.
Language Test Preparation Strategy (Section 1A & 1B)
- Focus on reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and literary aptitude.
- Practice different passage types: factual, narrative, literary.
- Build a daily reading habit using newspapers, editorials, essays.
- Maintain a personal vocabulary notebook for revision.
- Tip: Improve retention by practising short summaries of each reading.
Domain-Specific Subject Strategy (Section 2)
- Stick to NCERT Class 12 textbooks for conceptual clarity.
- Emphasise understanding concepts instead of memorisation.
- Practice MCQs after each chapter for accuracy and speed.
- Solve previous year CUET and board exam questions regularly.
