Storefront Dental Hygiene Clinic Design Plan
1. Exterior Design
- Signage: Clear, modern signage with your clinic name and logo (e.g., “BrightSmiles Dental Hygiene”). Use LED lighting for visibility at night.
- Glass Frontage: Large windows with frosted decals for privacy but enough transparency to give a warm, inviting look.
- Accessibility: Ramp and automatic doors to meet accessibility standards (AODA compliant).
2. Reception Area
- Reception Desk: Sleek, clutter-free desk with a friendly face greeting clients. Include space for a computer, card machine, consent forms, and scheduling tools.
- Seating: Comfortable, modern seating for 4–6 people. Consider neutral tones with a pop of brand color.
- Ambiance: Soft lighting, nature-themed art, calming scents, and gentle background music. Display brochures about services and oral health.
3. Consultation/Screening Room
- A small private room for new client consultations, medical history reviews, and oral health education.
- Include a computer, small desk, intraoral camera, and educational materials.
4. Operatory (1–2 rooms)
- Ergonomic Design: Dental chair with hygienist’s stool, cabinetry within reach, and side delivery unit.
- Equipment: Ultrasonic scaler, portable X-ray unit (if permitted), air/water syringe, intraoral camera, and hand instruments.
- Infection Control: Hand hygiene sink, barrier drawers, and storage for PPE.
- Comfort Features: Ceiling TV or mounted screen, blanket, and noise-cancelling headphones for client comfort.
5. Sterilization Area
