Storage Lens is an organization-wide analytics dashboard for S3. It gives you a complete picture of your storage usage, costs, security gaps, and efficiency across all buckets, all accounts, and all regions.

What It Does

• Analyzes all S3 buckets across your entire AWS organization
• Identifies cost waste (unused files, incomplete uploads, old versions)
• Flags security issues (buckets without encryption, versioning, or replication)
• Tracks usage trends over time
• Gives recommendations on how to save money and improve security

The Dashboard

You get a visual dashboard with sections for:

• Summary — total storage, object count, bucket count
• Cost insights — where money is being spent
• Data protection — which buckets are missing security features
• Efficiency tips — how to optimize storage

You can also create custom dashboards or export data daily as CSV or Parquet files.
