Why

Background

A Steel Thread version of product is effectively a pre-MVP piece of working software. It’s designed to give us the basic spine of a product with minimal functionality, which we can interact with and then systematically flesh out towards the MVP. In the case of Round Manager and Grant Explorer, our Steel Thread will enable users to connect their wallet, create an on-chain record of a program (e.g. Uniswap), create an on-chain record of a round (e.g. Uniswap Season 2) associated with that program, and view different states of the Grant Explorer based upon dates associated with the round.

Macro Business Problem

We want users to be able to create an on-chain record of a grant program and an on-chain record of an associated grant round.

Goals

• Users can connect their wallet
• Users can “deploy” a program with basic information (program name and operator wallets)
• Operators of a program can “deploy” a round with basic information (round name and start/end dates)
• Operators can open an empty “application review” page, where grant applications will live in future versions
• Users can view an “apply” state and “live” state of Grant Explorer based upon round dates.
