I construct systems in which form emerges through material phase transitions and human interaction.

In Phase–Mediated Drawing, the melting of ice regulates the dispersion of pigment, while the intervention of two participants introduces local interactions.

The resulting forms are not composed, but fixed through the irreversible process of phase transition.

Procedure

1. Define initial conditions (ice mass, placement, optional salt).

2. Establish contact between ice and watercolor pencils.

3. Two participants introduce subtle, uncoordinated gestures and pressure.

4. As the ice undergoes phase transition, pigment disperses across the paper.

5. The drawing emerges and is fixed through this irreversible process.

6. 氷の質量や配置、必要に応じて塩などの初期条件を設定する。

7. 水彩鉛筆を氷に接触させる。

8. 二者が計画されない微細な操作と圧力を与える。

9. 氷の相転移に伴い、顔料が紙上に拡散する。
