Recruitment Phases

Let's divide staker outreach & recruitment into the following phases. Note the overall objective is to recruit stakers likely to commit to long staking durations, not simply maximize the number of authorizing addresses at launch:

Phase 1: week commencing July 31st

Targets:

• Stakers and prospective stakers one or two degrees of separation from DAO members

Objectives:

• Populate focus group / roundtable members to discuss TACo staking and solicit feedback on:
  • General comprehensibility
  • Installation & maintenance ease
  • Cost/benefit
  • Bonus vs. staking duration combos
• Enlist ‘light-touch advocates’ who can help with future phases

Outreach resources:

• Staking with TACo summary (why, how, when) will finalize this by Monday
• ETHBoston talk
• Special resources for University Stakers (to be discussed next week)

Phase 2: week commencing August 21st

Targets:

• All current Threshold stakers
• University Stakers, depending on progress of discussions

Objectives:

• Get wider feedback on now near-finalized documentation, benefits, staker duties, adopter prospectus
• Get sense of sign-up numbers (e.g. requiring a signature before a certain date AND authorization before a later date to qualify for bonus)
