I'm Ayodele Timothy Adebodun. A product designer passionate about creating digital products that are easy to use, clean, and focused on real people. I use design to solve everyday problems and create smoother, more enjoyable experiences.
I believe good design should feel simple and natural, helping users accomplish their goals without confusion or stress. I focus on understanding users' core needs and enhancing their experience.
Stake.com is one of the world’s leading crypto-based online betting platforms. It offers a wide range of services, including sports betting, live casino games, slots, and more, all powered by cryptocurrencies and local currencies . With millions of users across different countries, Stake.com is known for its fast transactions, real-time betting experience, and more. The platform also supports deposits in local currencies, including the Nigerian Naira, making it convenient for users in Nigeria to fund their accounts seamlessly.
One day, I was in my room when some friends came over to visit. While we were talking, one of them started reading out tweets from the X (formerly Twitter) account of a popular betting punter in Nigeria. The tweets were full of complaints from users about the Stake.com web app. People were sharing their frustrations, saying the app was hard to use, confusing to navigate, and not as smooth as they expected.
As a product designer, I was immediately curious. I asked for the punter’s account and started reading through the comments myself. It quickly became clear that many users were having the same issues. They liked the platform itself, but the user experience was getting in the way. Some said it was hard to place bets quickly; others mentioned how the layout felt cluttered or outdated.
That moment sparked something in me. I saw an opportunity to explore how the platform could be improved with better design. How it could feel cleaner, more modern, and easier to use. That’s what led me to take on this project: a concept redesign of the Stake.com web app, focused on creating a smoother and more enjoyable experience for its users.
This case study is a personal project and its not connected to Stake.com but it’s based on real feedback from real users. It’s my way of showing how good design can make a real difference when we listen to what people actually need.
As the product designer on this project, I led the effort to improve the usability and user experience of the Stake.com web app. My role began with identifying core usability challenges through direct engagement with users and culminated in delivering high-impact design solutions that met both user needs and business objectives.
Through in-depth interviews and surveys with users in Nigeria, I identified key pain points and translated these insights into actionable design improvements. Throughout the process, I ensured that the platform's core goals remained central to the design decisions.
