- Spirit is the source of mental and spiritual ability for characters.
- Life is the source of living things and related products.
- Death is the source of aging, curses, and diseases.
- Energy is a source of power, whether natural, supernatural, or mechanical.
- Void is the source of nothing and everything. When in doubt, the source is Void.
Character Traits
For characters, including NPCs:
- Assign Spirit to traits sourced by the mind, such as traits involving emotion or knowledge.
- Assign Life to traits sourced by living tissue, such as traits involving bodily organs.
- Assign Death to traits sourced by corruption or disease, such as undead traits.
- Assign Energy to powerful traits, including fiery, electrical, or mechanical traits.
- Assign Void to all other traits, such as abstract, ghostly, or rocky traits.
Prop Traits
For props (items):

- Assign Life for traits related to products of plants and animals, such as with objects composed of blood, bone, fabric, leaf, meat, medicine, and wood.
- Assign Death for traits related to decay, such as with objects like corpses, cursed items, diseases, germs, molds, poisons, or other items that can curse or sicken a character.
- Assign Energy for traits to do with natural phenomena like fire, lighting, magnets, water, or wind, with supernatural properties like magic, or with machines like tools, vehicles, or weapons.
- Assign Void for anything that does not fit any other source, such as abstract concepts, armor, or objects made of gems, ice, or stone.
