🔃 Change the sort order of your notes

By default, SnipNotes sorts your notes by the date they were last edited. This means that your latest notes always appear at the top of the note list. You can adjust this behavior in settings.

iPhone and iPad

Open the list of categories and tap the cogwheel icon to reveal the settings menu. Scroll down to "Advanced Settings" and tap "General". In this menu you can choose between the following sorting criteria:

• Modification date: Sorts notes according to the date they were last edited
• Creation date: Sorts notes by the date they were originally created
• Alphabetical: Sort notes alphabetically by title or content (if there is no title)

In addition, you can determine the sorting direction, i.e. whether the latest or the oldest notes should be displayed at the top.

Mac

Click the cogwheel icon in the top left corner to open the settings menu. You will find the same settings (as described above) in the "Notes" tab.

📌 Pin notes

If you want to prevent certain notes from sliding down in your note list, you can pin them to the top.

iPhone and iPad

In the note list, swipe right on a note and select "Pin".

Mac

Right-click on a note and select "Pin to the Top".
