Overview

Music is important to people for a myriad of reasons. Comfort, unification, a rallying cry, whatever it is, music is the lifeline to so many things. Anime music, wether it’s the song from the opening credits, or a concert from your favorite anime artist, serves as an emotional tether, either between a user and that particular anime, or to other anime fans.

The Opportunity

Sony's acquisition of Crunchyroll brought new opportunities to fulfill long-standing requests from anime fans, such as adding anime music to the platform. Many anime music and artists are inaccessible outside Japan, but with Sony's large music division, Crunchyroll can now offer fans anime music openings and full concerts of their favorite artists.

My Role

What I did

As the only internal tools designer, created wireframes and assets for Phase 1 of the Sony Music Portal for our CMS engineers to implement. Working with Product and Engineering leadership, we defined and shared our app vision, ensuring clear documentation of designs, scope, and roadmaps to avoid any hiccups or blockers during the process.
