- Make sure that you are using the latest version of OS (windows / Linux, …) on your computer
- Install and use antivirus and also keep it updated.
- Make sure your firewall is always on and if you disable it for a few moments don't forget to enable it.
- Disable your windows remote access feature if you don't use it
- Choose a strong password for your windows account (or your phone ) and disable accounts you don't use.
- Don't forget to lock your computer (phone) even if you are away for few moments!
- Do not install any unsecured or unknown applications on your computer or phone.
- Have an image from your latest windows change in case you have multiple wallet and services on your computer so that you can recover the image instead of restoring the services and wallets one by one
- Regularly look for intrusions
- Protect yourself against crypto-stealing malware
- Use a generic email address to open crypto accounts
- Confirm the safety of any software you Install on your device
- Beware of phishing scams
- Never publicly disclose your crypto holdings
