Why chose SlimeVR over other trackers?

Pros

• Low cost
• No base stations required
• Small and lightweight
• Easily scale with more trackers

Cons

• Has to be re-calibrated every 40 minutes
• Tendency to drift more
• Magnetometers could bias towards nearby magnetic objects, causing drift
• More trackers are required for decent tracking quality compared to Base Station trackers

How many trackers are recommended?

Since SlimeVR uses FK to calculate your position; a minimum of 5 trackers are recommended: Chest, thighs, and ankles.

But up to 10 somatic vr trackers can be used.
