Deno was founded by the creators of Node.js. We’re building the next generation of server-side JavaScript - modern, secure, and fast. Our investors include Sequoia Capital, Nat Friedman, Netlify, and WordPress. We are a fully remote, globally distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Build high-performance system software in Rust
• Work on the low-level runtime and networking layers powering Deno Deploy
• Participate in design reviews and communicate technical decisions

Qualifications

• 5+ years in systems or infrastructure engineering
• Strong Rust programming skills
• Experience operating distributed systems in public clouds (GCP, AWS, Vultr) with Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform
• Familiarity with technologies like Firecracker, V8, QUIC, BGP, and OpenTelemetry
• Located in US or EU timezones.
