The Role

We’re hiring a Social Growth Lead to help shape how the world discovers BuildForever and our first product, Extra. In this role, you’ll build our social media presence across Instagram, TikTok, and X. You’ll craft the strategy, make the content and test nonstop to figure out what works to drive quality growth. You’ll work closely with the founders to build a formula for growth through both video and static content. This is a contract role based in NYC (~2 days in person per week) with flexible hours.

How you’ll contribute…

Your mandate is to grow Extra’s Instagram, TikTok & X accounts. In this role, you will:

• Develop a cross-platform content strategy built around strong hooks, viral potential, and audience growth
• Create, edit and post a steady drumbeat of content - including short-form videos, product teasers, behind-the-scenes looks, storytelling moments and founder perspectives
• Experiment aggressively to find high-performing formats, trends, and topics — and learn quickly what works (and what doesn’t)
• Develop a cohesive voice and visual style across video and static content that reflects our values: joy, craft, playfulness and humanity
• Identify cultural and industry moments worth jumping into — and shape our presence within them.
• Work directly with the founders to turn product and company milestones into compelling narratives.
• Help define simple, lightweight systems that rapid experimentation and consistently high quality content.
