SnapGrade is committed to protecting the privacy of all users, including students, educators, and administrators. This Privacy Policy explains how SnapGrade and the SnapGrade Extension collect, use, and protect data. SnapGrade complies with all applicable privacy laws, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), the Student Online Personal Information Protection Act (SOPIPA), and relevant state-specific laws such as NY Ed Law 2-d.

Platform Data

SnapGrade collects only the data required to operate the core platform effectively. This may include:

• Rubrics and grading criteria
• Teacher and administrator account information (name, email, school affiliation)

We do not collect student email addresses, home addresses, or any unnecessary personally identifiable information (PII).

Extension Data

The SnapGrade Extension processes:

• Screenshots of visible Google Docs content (temporarily and with user consent)
• Assignment type and grading preferences
• Basic usage analytics (non-identifiable)

No personal information, Google account data, or document metadata is collected or stored.
