So for our first project we’re going to design a few screens of a smartwatch app that with the help of the workshop we did for our first class.

Workshop task

For our first task, which was the workshop, we were asked to write down words corresponding to a few words we were given such as:

• Money
• Travel
• Safety
• Education
• Fitness

From these 5 words, me and my friend Alanna worked together to write down words that we could come up with related to the 5 words given to use, and out of those 5 words we could come up with close to 80 words relating to that.

After we were done with that we were ask to pair unrelated words together to make illogical connections to spark ideas for potential apps.

One of the app Ideas I decided to go further with was a first aid emergency app for children.

The whole idea behind this app was to make it so that kids could learn first aid, and also potentially be able to contact their parents/caretaker if something were to happen, as well as being able to contact the emergency services if their parent/caretaker would fall ill or something life threatening would happen.

I did however, write down other ideas to consider, since I got advice from our tutor that it might be a better idea to go another path, since that idea is quite busy.

I decided to look into a more accessible path, but still in a sense where it was travel related.
