Purpose

Turns material-ID assignments into packed authoring masks, letting artists export RGBA mask sets and optional per-material grayscale masks from both the preview render and UV-space texture layout without leaving Unity.

How to Use (Step-by-Step)

  1. Select the object or prefab whose materials should become packed texturing masks.
  2. Open Smart ID Mask Baker from the Art menu and scan the target materials to build the material-channel list.
  3. Adjust the generated ID colors if two regions need clearer separation before the bake.
  4. Bake the packed mask preview to confirm each RGBA pack is isolating the correct materials.
  5. Export the smart masks to write the flat ID map, UV-space ID map, packed RGBA masks, UV packed masks, optional individual grayscale masks, optional UV grayscale masks, and the JSON manifest.
