One of the possible applications for Smart Contracts on the Blockchain for the People domain would be to optimise payouts and managing the Gig and Contract workforce economy.

Today there are a fair bit of manual interventions in place, where someone is manually validating the work done, and basis this the payouts happen for to the workers.

If we are able to put this information on the blockchain, and code algorithms which are programmed to automatically execute upon certain parameters being met, this whole manual process can be optimised.

It is fascinating to imagine the possibilities which can open up in the blockchain ecosystem, and especially in the people field. We have a very interesting next 5 years to look forward to and seeing how this plays out.
