S&P Global Ratings changed on Friday 22 January 2021 Slovakia’s sovereign credit rating outlook to stable from negative and affirmed the debt grade at A+, citing as main reason behind the revision S&P’s expectation that Slovakia's economy will rebound by 4.3% in 2021 and return to solid growth of about 3% through 2024, supported by the continued inflow of EU funds and forthcoming private-sector investments in its auto sector. Moody's credit rating for Slovakia was last set at A2 with stable outlook. Fitch's credit rating for Slovakia was last reported at A with negative outlook. DBRS's credit rating for Slovakia is A (high) with stable outlook. In general, a credit rating is used by sovereign wealth funds, pension funds and other investors to gauge the credit worthiness of Slovakia thus having a big impact on the country's borrowing costs.
