🎯 What is the purpose of this team?

The Member Experience Team is formed to make sure members have the best possible experience within the Work on Climate community. We strive for the following:

• People are exposed to the information that they need to be exposed to
• People contribute what they should be able to contribute
• People connect with the people they should be talking to

This team achieves that through curating all aspects of participation in the Work on Climate community including onboarding, participation in Slack, and engaging with other WoCl resources like the mentorship program. We are also responsible for the overall Slack infrastructure, from intake form to channel architecture, bots, automations, etc.

⚡ What does this team do?

This team owns the following aspects of the WoCl experience:

• The intake form Intake form personalisation
• The Slack invite link https://bit.ly/join-wocl-slack (it is managed on WoCl’s bit.ly account Accounts )
• The email nurture sequence new members receive Intake form to Mailchimp
• Slack onboarding sequence
• All the default channels (such as #announcements #general #jobs etc.)
• Naming convention for all channels
• Community Guidelines for engagement on Slack
