2. General Information About the App The "SimpleCalories" app is a local iOS app for recording calorie, nutrition and optional weight data. The app can be used without a user account, registration or server-side synchronisation. The content you enter is processed and stored exclusively locally on your device. Your app content is not transmitted to the developer.
3. Data Processing in the App When using the app, the following data in particular may be processed locally: • calorie and nutrition entries • optional weight entries • selected settings, for example theme or language This data is stored exclusively locally on your device. There are no user accounts, no server-side user profile and no cloud-based processing by the developer. The app does not use analytics tools, tracking, advertising or third-party SDKs to analyse your usage. The developer does not have access to your locally stored content.
4. Backup and Export Function The app offers the option to export data as a CSV file. The following applies: • export takes place exclusively locally on your device • the file is only stored where you choose to save it • there is no automatic transfer to external servers Importing CSV files also takes place exclusively locally. You are solely responsible for handling exported files.
5. Legal Basis Where personal data is processed within the app, this is done for the purpose of providing the app functions you use. The processing takes place exclusively locally on your device. Where a legal basis is required, this may in particular be Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of the app functions you request). Where special categories of personal data, in particular weight data, are processed, this takes place exclusively on the basis of your own input and use within the app.
6. Apple App Store The app is distributed via the Apple App Store. When downloading and using the App Store, Apple processes personal data independently. You can delete all data within the app yourself by removing entries, overwriting a backup or uninstalling the app.
