Design goal

To create an interaction for adults to calm down and not get frustrated while their devices are malfunctioning

Interaction vision

interacting with the product should feel like making use of the escape routes on a flight

interaction qualities

feeling guided, easy interaction in terms of knowing what to do, easily accessible, and usable

Final design and intended interaction

The final design is set in the future, where we are surrounded by devices and the product is one of the few interactions with real living beings.

• can be used with any malfunctioning device in the house
• It has two-fold functionality- one through the touch-feel and the other through voice
• Squeezing the product begins the interaction, where a robotic voice greets the user. It then connects the user to someone from a different part of the world, who's in a similar situation.
• The two participants can then have a conversation that is occasionally guided with prompts from the device. At the end of 8 mins, the conversation ends and the users can get back to their life.
